Cost Accounts Assistant
Location: Bovey Tracey
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Artisans and Artists is a leading property development and refurbishment company, proudly operating from our Devon-based design studio showroom. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cost Accounting Assistant to join our growing team.
Working within the accounts and admin team, you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of our client projects
Key Responsibilities
- Accurate production of project cost sheets
- Monitoring of actual against budgets
- Reporting and highlighting variances in real time to the project directors / project coordinators / accounts team.
Skills & Experience
We’re seeking a cost accounting assistant with a strong foundation in cost accounting practices and systems.
You should be confident working with:
- Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
- Developing and improving accounting/reporting systems
- A working knowledge of Xero accounting is an advantage
About You
- Professional, friendly, and discreet in all dealings
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a small, dynamic team
- Strong mathematical and written English skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Word and Outlook
- Ideally you will have trained within an accounting firm
